At first, thread appears not to have any characteristics in common with glass, Blown glass has a unique warmth and a tension drawn from weakness. Thread gives the impression of fragility though it is strong. Thread also has a warmth —drawn from fiber-- and a tension when strained.
Delicate colorful patterns drawn in thread expand infinitely. Glass blown one piece at a time, by three young glass artists produce a sense of tension. Produced without molds, each glass is one-of-a-kind, with production limited to just 100 pieces.
Attractive as an understated interior element when not in use, this is a modest, yet distinctive product with which to share a long life.
