The “Collapsing World” series adds a new dimension to the photograph by applying algorithm. In the installation, the fluctuation of the water surface and the algorithm create double distortion to the image. The resulting visual shift will reaffirm what we are seeing.

Yuna Yagi is a Kyoto based artist/photographer. She graduated from the Architecture Department at Parsons School of Design and Art in New York (2004). She expresses the experience of the act of “seeing” by photography and space installation.
Yagi was an invited artist for FOTOFEVER (2017), Paris International Contemporary Photography Art Fair. Yagi held a large-scale solo exhibition in Tokyo “NOWHERE” at Pola Museum Annex Ginza.
Awards; Hasselblad Award for Kyotographie Portfolio Review 2017, nominated for Higashikawa Photography Award.
