The Ripple Project studies the beauty of glass. When a beam of ligh is projected through the gently rotating mouth-blown glass dome, shadow and light form a breathtaking, ever-changing pattern, where the aesthetic goes beyond the material itself.
Designer
Taiwanese designers Hanhsi Chen and Shikai Tseng accumulated diverse experiences before founding the London-based design studio Poetic Lab. The duo's core design philosophy is to use ideologies and materials to write poetry with objects. Together, they shape products, lighting and furniture from multiple perspectives. Their work has received international accolades, including the Design Report Award, Salone Satellite Award, and the Young Designer Talent of the Year 2014 Chinese Edition Elle Deco International Design Award. Their work is also included in the Vitra Design Museum's permanent collection.
