《（Lumiosf）ルミオエスエフ》は「本」をモチーフにしてデザインされ、さまざまな形に展開でき、複数の機能や使い方ができる新しい発想の充電式ポータブルランプ。繊細なレーザーカットが施された「木の表紙」と、耐水性のあるタイベックを採用した「シェード」からなるミニマルなデザインで、ニーズにあわせてそのフォルムはいかようにも変化する。本を開くと光が拡がる幻想的なデザインで、明るく優しい光を放つ高性能LEDを搭載している。 美しいだけでなく機能的、そしてシンプルだけれども直感的に使い方が理解できる。そうしたアイデアを具現化した結果、生まれた照明プロダクト。木の表紙には強力な磁石が内蔵されており、そのまま金属面に取り付けることも、また付属のパーツを使い360度に広げてテーブルの上に立てたり、壁に引っ掛けたり、ストラップで吊るすことも可能。このユニークなデザインによりいろいろな場所で利用することができる。屋外でのパーティーや、子供への読み聞かせのときなど、多くのシーンでエレガントな灯りを提供する。
Lumiosf is a rechargeable portable lamp of boundless energy and ideas. Featuring a minimalist, ‘book motif’ design of a durable, water resistant Tyvek paper shade and a finely laser cut wooden cover, and equipped with a high performance LED, this ingenious design emits a gentle bright light whenever the “book” is opened . Lumiosf offers unparalleled mutablility in lighting solutions, personalized easily into endless configurations to meet changing needs. Powerful magnets embedded into its wood cover allow Lumiosf to be affixed to a metal surface as-is; included parts, it can be opened 360 degrees atop a table, affixed to a wall, or threaded on a strap. Lumiosf is a lighting fixture of unique design brilliantly illustrating the idea that a functional device can be not only beautiful, but also utilitararian, simple and intuitive to use. It provides and elegant lighting solution for many different contexts, whether for an outdoor party or by which to read a child a bedtime story.
Architect
1980年インドネシア・ジャカルタ生まれ。2013年米国サンフランシスコにてデザインスタジオを設立。建築家であり工業デザイナーとして、小さなスペースでも大きく暮らせるようなスマートなデザインの家具やプロダクトを開発するというミッションの下、最初の作品である「ルミオエスエフ」をデザインした。
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1980. As an architect and product designer, Max founded his own design studio in San Francisco in 2013 with the mission to bring smartly designed objects and furniture that will help people live big in a small space. Lumiosf is his first product that explores this idea.
