アーティスト・平川紀道が、NikeFuelでなされようとしていることを「何かを記録し、それを可視化することで、日常や世界観を変えること」と翻訳／拡大解釈。3つの異なる記録をもとに、代謝や瞬発力、またエネルギーそれ自体をモチーフとして、視覚的な刺激に特化した描画プログラムを書いた作品。
An expansion and translation of what the NikeFuel project is setting out to do, “To change our daily lives and how we see the world by recording something and visualizing it”. Norimichi Hirakawa has created a drawing program dedicated to visual stimulation, fueled by three types of recordings: agility, metabolism and taking also as a motif-- energy itself.

1982年生まれ。コンピュータ・プログラミングによるリアルタイム処理を用いた映像音響インスタレーションを中心とした作品群を国内外の美術展、メディアアート・フェスティバルで発表。2004年度文化庁メディア芸術祭優秀賞、 アルス・エレクトロニカ2008準グランプリほか受賞多数。池田亮司のコンサート・ピース制作への参加、大友良英＋木村友紀＋ベネディクト・ドリューとのコラボレーション、ミラノ・サローネでのレクサスのアートエキシビションへの参加、Typingmonkeysとしてのライブ・パフォーマンスなど、活動は多岐にわたる。
Born in 1982. His works, centralising in real-time processed, computer programmed audio visual installations, have been shown at national and interna- tional art exhibitions as well as the Media Art Festivals. He is a recipient of many awards including the Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Art Festival in 2004, and the Award of Distinction at Prix Ars Electronica in 2008. Having been involved in a wide range of activities, he has worked on a concert piece production for Ryoji Ikeda, collaborated with Yoshihide Otomo, Yuki Kimura and Benedict Drew, participated in the Lexus Art Exhibition at Milan Design week. and has started live performance as Typingmonkeys.
