TORAFU ARCHITECTS

“Koloro-desk” and “Koloro-stool” were designed for the decorative plywood manufacturer Ichiro. The theme this time was “storable furniture”: light furniture that is not restricted to a specific place or purpose. The mobile“Koloro-wagon”, comprised of a set of three stackable storage boxes with handles, can be separated and carried around like baskets. By joining two of the L-shaped handles, it can be held like a shopping basket, and, when stood on end vertically, the inside of the box can be fixed to act as a brace for stacking. The storage boxes are available in two color combinations: sky blue, white and yellow or dark green, pink and grey. The boxes can be color-coded according to the needs of different family members or according to purpose. In contemporary living, one space may be used alternatively as a dining area, work area, and child’s play area. This move-able storage cabinet proposes a flexibility well-suited the changing functional and individual needs of today’s lifestyles.
