Exploiting the advantages of low cost, easily mass-produced plastic as a material, while leaving room for people to imbue these pieces with their own personality, "Dye It Yourself" proposes a new way for plastic products to embody such a concept. This “porous plastic” has been re-interpreted into furniture prototypes the user can dye at whim. Beautifully variegated and shaded colors can give the plastic an attractiveness resembling textiles. Once identical, mass-produced goods can now become one-of-a-kind expressions of their user’s individuality.
